How the License Works
Each license covers one artwork, up to two merchandise product types, and the total production quantity specified in your selected plan.
For example, under a Studio License, you may produce:
- 60 T-shirts
- 40 tote bags
This represents 100 items in total, using one artwork across two product types.
Different sizes and colors of the same product type are included within the same category.
The production allowance applies to the entire license period. It does not reset each year.
Permitted Uses
With an active license, you may:
- Reproduce the approved artwork on your licensed merchandise.
- Manufacture and sell physical products within your production allowance.
- Use an authorized third-party printing or manufacturing service.
- Share photographs of your licensed merchandise on your website and social media for promotional purposes.
- Sell merchandise through the channels permitted under your selected license.
Studio Licenses permit direct sales at one registered physical business location.
Business Licenses additionally permit direct-to-consumer sales through one approved online store operated by the licensed business.
Usage Restrictions
The following activities require additional written permission:
- Manufacturing more items than your license allows.
- Using the artwork on more than two product types.
- Using additional artworks without purchasing separate licenses.
- Selling through unauthorized marketplaces or third-party retailers.
- Distributing or reselling the artwork files.
- Transferring or sublicensing the artwork to another business.
- Substantially modifying the artwork.
- Using the artwork beyond the approved license period.
Licenses are non-exclusive and non-transferable.
